Our Community
Our races span the majestic Kennebec River Gorge, the picturesque Penobscot River, and the formidable Smalls Falls. Whether you're navigating Class III/IV rapids or pushing your limits on Class V, we promise an adrenaline-fueled adventure like no other.
But it’s not just about the races. It’s about the people who make it happen. Our dedicated team of organizers, volunteers, and sponsors work tirelessly to create unforgettable experiences on and off the water. We’re a community united by our love for the sport and the great outdoors.
Great Falls Foundation
The Maine Whitewater Championship became part of the Great Falls Foundation in 2019. The Great Falls Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting and supporting whitewater sports and river conservation.
